New York Evening Journal, March 3, 1913

For the great Women’s Suffrage Parade in Washington DC in March 1913, Nellie Bly fulfilled the dual function of honored parade “herald” on horseback and reporter for the New York Evening Journal. Her report is vintage Bly, replete with flattering—borderline inappropriate—personal references that are so much a part of her signature style.
